Announcements

  • Watch Dr. Julie Kafka speak about her recent publication in a short video posted on X earlier this week. To read the UW Medicine Newsroom article on the paper, click here.
  • As submission decisions come in for the upcoming firearms conference in Seattle, please let Sam Banks (sbanks94@uw.ed) know of any acceptances (oral presentations, posters, etc.) so that we can start planning and building out the program. Thank you to everyone who has already done so!
  • The Alliance for Gun Responsibility is currently seeking an undergraduate Research Intern to assist with a statewide analysis of civil protection orders. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have an interest in gun violence, public health, domestic violence, and/or our judicial system. Please see the full job posting here.
  • There will be no newsletter next week (September 20th).
