The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) is hosting a Director’s Lecture on
May 7, 2024 from
1-2 pm ET, featuring firearm injury prevention expert Dr. Stephanie Hawkins. Dr. Hawkins is the vice president of the Transformative Research Unit for Equity (TRUE), a research organization at RTI International. She will be discussing her risk reduction research, the application of NINR's social determinants of health research lens to firearm injury prevention, and the role of nursing science in advancing solutions in this area.
