Dr. Kristian Jones will be hosting the CSDE seminar today, October 20th, from 12:30-1:30 PM PST. His presentation is titled "Uncovering the Precursors of Change: Examining Cross-Racial Youth Mentoring Relationships Between Non-Black Mentors and Black Youth". Sociology and the Evans School are jointly sponsoring a talk today, October 20th, from 5:00-6:30pm in Parrington Hall 360. Dr. Jennifer Carlson from Arizona State University will be presenting the research behind her new book Merchants of the Right: Gun Sellers and the Crisis of American Democracy. Her work examines the politics of guns in American life and will draw on in-depth interviews with gun sellers to examine the surge in gun purchasing in recent years. FIPRP has a SharePoint that we are hoping will help facilitate the sharing of resources. We currently have a methods folder which includes resources and guidance on topics like data visualization, qualitative methods, and survey methods among other resources for FIPRP outreach.
