Announcements

 

  • Dr. Kristian Jones and Julia Schleimer, in collaboration with the Social Impact Evaluation Team wrote an op-ed titled "Violence Intervention Programs Need Time to Evaluate Impact". Read the full publication in the Seattle Times here
  • FIPRP is hiring! This role will primarily focus on studies related to Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) to enhance their implementation and save lives. If you have strong qualitative and quantitative research skills and are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you! Read the full job description here
  • On Wednesday, the city of Seattle and King County, along with community-based organizations, proposed a plan called 100 Days of Action which will set aside $1 million to combat gun violence. Read more about the plan here and here.  
  • Team ENOUGH, Brady’s youth-led initiative, is currently accepting applications for its Executive Council, the governing body of Team ENOUGH. They are looking for youth leaders (ages 13-22) passionate about organizing, advocacy, and policymaking to help shape our programs, goals, and strategic vision to end gun violence in America.   • FIPRP has a SharePoint that we are hoping will help facilitate the sharing of resources. We currently have a methods folder which includes resources and guidance on topics like data visualization, qualitative methods, and survey methods among other resources for FIPRP outreach.
