Violence Awareness Day is observed today, June 7th. Below are
upcoming events taking place in Seattle this June to honor the
occasion:
- Lockbox giveaways are
happening in multiple locations today starting

- The
Grandmothers Against Gun Violence (GAGV) Diversity and
Partnerships Team is hosting a free webinar on June 11th, 2024 from
1:00-2:00pm. The webinar is titled "Community
Conversations: Gun Violence Prevention - an Urgent Public Health
Matter" and will highlight the voices/perspectives
of several panelists. To register or read more about the

- Show Up, Grandmothers Against Gun Violence (Friday, June
14th from 3:00-4:00pm): Join us on the 14th of each
month as we Show Up as a visible reminder of the need for gun
safety, to bring attention to the gun violence epidemic, and to
demand safe gun legislation. Hosted at the intersection of Martin
Luther King Jr Ave S and Rainier Ave S pedestrian/bike overpass.

participated in a safe firearm storage device giveaway in Fife, WA
this past weekend where 437 safe storage devices were

guidance on topics like data visualization, qualitative methods,
and survey methods among other resources for FIPRP outreach. If
you would like access or would like to contribute resources,
