Announcements

  • Dr. Millan AbiNader, a gender-based violence researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, is conducting a study on how violence and injury researchers manage the well-being of research team members. As violence and injury scholars, our research exposes our team members to traumatic material through data collection and analysis. If you supervise at least one person (including students, research assistants, research staff, and co-investigators), please consider taking this 5-10 minute survey which aims to understand what supervisors do to promote the well-being of their research team members and how effective they perceive those strategies to be. The survey collects no identifying information and a public report will be made available at the end of the study. If you’re interested in participating please click here.
  • The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) is hosting a Director’s Lecture on May 7, 2024 from 1-2 pm ET, featuring firearm injury prevention expert Dr. Stephanie Hawkins. Dr. Hawkins is the vice president of the Transformative Research Unit for Equity (TRUE), a research organization at RTI International. She will be discussing her risk reduction research, the application of NINR's social determinants of health research lens to firearm injury prevention, and the role of nursing science in advancing solutions in this area. You can register for the event here.
